scott dawes

Scott is the co-founder of Long Property Protect and in-house Specialist Wealth Protection Adviser.

Having provided advice to professionals and business owners since 2006, Scott and his team have specialist knowledge, experience and relationships that they call on every day to deliver the best personal, family and business asset protection solutions available.

Scott has been married since 1998 and has three beautiful children. In his former life he was an elite athlete having represented Australia in baseball at four world championships and at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic games.

Daniel started his finance/ advisory career in 2008 (UBS investment banking).  In 2015 he began educating homebuyers and property investors via a blog – this then became a popular real estate investment book, and then the mortgage broking firm, Long Property.

Daniel has received numerous industry awards including 2024  and 2025 Connective Broker of the Year and 2025 BBA Best Boutique Non-Franchise Office.

Strategies for borrowing money safely have long been fundamental to Daniel’s work, hence the desire to offer specialist wealth protection & insurance advice to all clients.
